Wedding Photo Booth Rental in Massachusetts: Costs, Timing & Setup
A planning guide for couples marrying in Boston, Cambridge, Worcester and the North Shore

Short answer: A wedding photo booth rental in Massachusetts costs $700–$1,400 for 3–4 hours, all-inclusive with an attendant, unlimited prints, a custom template with your names and date, and a digital gallery. Most couples book 4–8 months ahead for peak-season Saturdays.
What does a wedding photo booth cost?
| Package | Hours | Typical price |
|---|---|---|
| Open-air booth with prints | 3 hours | $700–$1,000 |
| Open-air booth + guest book + backdrop upgrade | 4 hours | $1,000–$1,300 |
| Glam or 360 booth | 3–4 hours | $950–$1,400 |
When should the booth run during the reception?
The best window is after dinner service and the formal toasts, through the first 2–3 hours of dancing. Guests are relaxed, the dance floor is open, and people cycle naturally between dancing and the booth. Running a booth during cocktail hour also works well if you want photos of guests before the room gets loud — but avoid overlapping with speeches or the first dance.
Which booth suits your venue?
Open-air booth
Fits groups of up to ten, works in tight ballroom corners, and prints two copies so one can go straight into the guest book.
Glam booth
Editorial black-and-white with soft skin retouching. A natural fit for black-tie weddings in Boston hotels and Back Bay venues.
360 booth
High-energy video clips for the dance-floor crowd. Needs 12 ft x 12 ft of clear floor and works best at receptions of 100+ guests.
Guest books and digital galleries
With the guest book add-on, the attendant tapes one print into a keepsake album and guests write a note next to it. You leave the reception with a finished book. Separately, every image lands in a private online gallery you can share with guests the next morning and download in full resolution.
Space, power and setup
- 10 ft x 10 ft for open-air or glam; 12 ft x 12 ft for a 360 booth.
- One dedicated 110V outlet within 25 ft.
- 8 ft minimum ceiling height.
- 60–90 minutes of setup — usually during dinner prep or before guests arrive.
