Photo Booth Rental Costs in Massachusetts & New Hampshire (2026 Pricing Guide)
What you actually pay, what drives the price up or down, and how to compare quotes

Short answer: a photo booth rental in Massachusetts or New Hampshire usually costs $650 to $1,400 for a 3-4 hour event, with an attendant, unlimited sessions, custom templates, and digital sharing included. 360 video booths run higher, roughly $900 to $1,600 for the same window. Two-hour parties can land below $650; multi-day trade show activations run above $1,600.
What a photo booth rental costs in MA & NH
Here is the range we see across the events we serve, from Boston and Cambridge down through Worcester and up into Nashua, Manchester, and the Seacoast.
| Event type | Typical hours | Typical all-in price |
|---|---|---|
| Birthday, graduation, small party | 2-3 hours | $550-$900 |
| Wedding reception | 3-4 hours | $700-$1,400 |
| Quinceanera / sweet 16 | 3-4 hours | $650-$1,300 |
| Corporate party or holiday party | 3-4 hours | $700-$1,400 |
| 360 video booth | 3-4 hours | $900-$1,600 |
| Trade show / conference booth | Per show day | $900-$1,600 per day |
Those numbers assume a professional attendant on site for the whole event, delivery and setup, and the booth running continuously. If a quote you are comparing is far below this range, the difference is almost always staffing, prints, or setup time.
The seven things that actually move the price
1. Hours of coverage
Hours are the single biggest lever. Three hours suits most weddings and parties up to about 150 guests. Each additional hour typically adds $125-$200. Idle time, when the booth is set up early and sits closed during dinner or a ceremony, is usually billed at a lower rate than active hours.
2. Booth type
An open-air booth with a backdrop handles the largest groups and is the most common choice. An enclosed booth gives a classic, private feel and fits smaller footprints. A 360 video booth costs more because it needs a bigger clear floor area, more gear, and an operator guiding every guest through the spin.
3. Prints vs. digital
Unlimited instant prints add consumable cost (paper, ink, printer time) and a little more staffing. Digital-only packages are cheaper and move guests through faster, which matters at high-volume corporate events. Many clients do both: prints for guests, digital for the phone.
4. Customization and branding
A custom print template with your names, date, or logo is included in our packages. Heavier branding, like a fully designed overlay, branded start screen, custom step-and-repeat backdrop, or wrapped booth panels, is a real production cost and shows up as a line item.
5. Backdrop and props
Standard backdrops and a curated prop set come with the package. Specialty options such as a flower wall, sequin wall, neon sign, or a color-matched custom backdrop add to the total.
6. Travel and venue logistics
Distance, load-in difficulty, elevator-only access, and paid downtown parking all affect cost. A Boston hotel ballroom with union load-in rules takes more time than a function hall in Chelmsford with a back door and a parking lot.
7. Date and season
Saturdays from May through October and December corporate-party dates are the busiest in New England. Those dates price at the top of the range and book months ahead. Friday, Sunday, and weekday events are the best value.
Example quotes
Wedding, 140 guests, Essex County, Saturday in September. Four hours, open-air booth, unlimited prints, custom template with the couple's names, attendant, online gallery. Roughly $1,100-$1,400.
Company holiday party, 90 guests, Boston hotel, weeknight in December. Three hours, open-air booth, branded overlay and start screen, digital sharing plus prints, attendant, downtown delivery. Roughly $900-$1,300.
Sweet 16, 60 guests, Nashua function hall, Sunday afternoon. Two hours, open-air booth, prints, props, attendant. Roughly $550-$750.
Trade show, BCEC, two show days. Booth with lead capture, branded template, digital delivery to attendees, operator for show hours. Roughly $1,800-$3,000 total for both days.
How to compare two quotes fairly
- Is an attendant on site the entire time, or is it a drop-off booth?
- Are prints unlimited, and for how many people per session?
- Is setup and teardown inside the rental hours or outside them?
- Is the custom template included, and how many revisions?
- Is there a travel, parking, or stair fee, and is it already in the total?
- Do you get the full gallery afterward, and at what resolution?
- What is the deposit, the balance due date, and the cancellation policy?
- Is the company insured, and can they send a certificate to your venue? Most Boston-area hotels and universities require one.
How to lower the cost without lowering the experience
- Trim hours, not quality. Three well-timed hours beat four slow ones. Open the booth after dinner when energy peaks.
- Pick a Friday, Sunday, or weeknight. Same booth, lower demand.
- Go digital-only for young, phone-first crowds.
- Use the venue's existing decor instead of a specialty backdrop when the room already looks great.
- Book early. Locking a date months out protects you from peak-season pricing.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a photo booth rental cost in Massachusetts?
Most Massachusetts events pay between $650 and $1,400 for a 3-4 hour photo booth rental with an on-site attendant. Weddings and corporate events sit at the higher end because they usually add custom templates, branded prints, and premium backdrops. Shorter 2-hour parties can come in under that range.
How much does a 360 photo booth cost to rent?
A 360 video booth typically costs more than a standard open-air photo booth for the same number of hours, because it needs more equipment, more space, and a dedicated operator. In MA and NH, expect roughly $900-$1,600 for a 3-4 hour booking depending on date, travel, and video branding.
How many hours of photo booth should I book?
Three hours covers most weddings and parties of 75-150 guests. Four hours is better for 150+ guests or when you want the booth open through cocktail hour and dancing. Extra hours are usually $125-$200 each and can often be added on the day of the event.
Is there a delivery or travel fee?
EverGlow Booths serves Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire. Local events near our base have no travel fee; longer drives, venues with difficult loading, or paid city parking may add a modest delivery charge. Ask for it to be shown on the quote up front.
Are unlimited prints included in the price?
They should be. Our packages include unlimited sessions, instant prints where the package includes printing, custom templates, digital sharing, and a full gallery after the event. If a quote charges per print or per digital copy, that is a sign the base rate is not comparable.
How far in advance should I book to get the best price?
Book 3-6 months out for Saturdays between May and October and for December holiday parties. Those dates sell out first and rarely discount. Weeknights, Sundays, and January-March are the easiest dates to book and the most flexible on package structure.
What is usually NOT included in a low quote?
The most common exclusions are the attendant, custom template design, backdrop upgrades, idle time between setup and start, prints, and the post-event gallery. Ask for one all-in number covering setup, staffing, and delivery so you can compare quotes fairly.
